The data in CheckPoint are updated regularly so that the most current data available is reported. How frequently the data is updated depends on how often the data are collected and how quickly they change.

The current update schedule is:

Medical services (heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia) – every 3 months (March, June, September and December)
Surgical infection prevention – every 3 months (March, June, September and December)
Index – every 3 months (March, June, September and December)
Error prevention – every 6 months (March and September)
Mortality – annually (June)
Volume – annually (June)
Utilization – annually (June)
